About the event

What’s in a Word?  A lot!

An interactive workshop with Steve Rose who will explore: If a Rose were called a Petunia would it Smell the Same? The answer: not exactly. This workshop invites a deep look at repeated word sounds and a deep dive into the ghosts that any word carries around. Bring (1) work you want to revise, (2) a published poem by an established writer, or even a book, you want to understand better and (3) a desire to participate in a conversation about that most mysterious human capacity: the ability to understand and create language.

If you are not already on our IPA LIVE list, RSVP to ipa@iowapoetry.com with "January IPA LIVE" in the subject line to receive the Zoom login.
